As a scholar, I am compelled to pursue lines of inquiry that seek to bridge the academic-practitioner gap by empirically investigating phenomenon that can provide realistic recommendations to business practitioners. As an individual with professional experience in small business and multi-national corporate settings, I have the practical experience that motivates me to research the intersection of theory and applied business techniques. To achieve this, my high-level research interests include the firm creation process, how entrepreneurial ecosystems support venture performance, the practical application of social entrepreneurship.
